Part two of Bridgerton season three has just dropped and, as a major fan of the Netflix series, I’ve already devoured every episode. I love the mix of ethnicities, the clothes, the story lines, the decadence – and the locations. I swear, every time I watch an episode, I fall in love with at least one dress or piece of jewellery one or more of the ladies are wearing, but most of all, I love the homes and locations many of the characters inhabit and play out their stories, the whole thing is just so damn pretty.
I truly believe I should be living in the Bridgerton house, it’s so gorgeous, I can see myself walking through the hallways, taking tea in the drawing room, wearing those wonderful dresses (minus the corsets) and those sparkling jewels… a girl can dream!
Here are some of the locations Shonda Rhimes’ wonderful series is filmed, many of which fellow Bridgerton fans can visit too.
Bath, Somerset
Much of the filming takes place in this city, with the grand Royal Crescent featuring. A restored museum on the crescent was used as the home of the Featherington’s.
Stowe, Buckinghamshire
Vauxhall Gardens was the backdrop in series one to the start of Daphne Bridgerton and the Duke of Hastings’ romance during the grand outdoor ball. In the Regency era, this really was once a place of great entertainment.
The Rangers House, Greenwich
The Ranger’s House in Greenwich, London poses as the exterior of the Bridgerton family home.
The Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich
Also in Greenwich is the Old Royal Naval College, which features heavily in the Bridgerton series.
Hampton Court Palace, Surrey
Hampton Court Palace often features as the exterior of the home of Queen Charlotte.
Lancaster House, Westminster
This is used as the location of the interior of Queen Charlotte’s home.
Painshill Park, Surrey
This is the place where the Ton like to promenade, picnic and do boating. A wonderful place for a great day out.
Osterley Park House, London
This featured in season three as the backdrop to the grand outdoor ball.
Kew Gardens, Surrey
Neither were actually featured in Bridgerton, but Kew Palace and Queen Charlotte’s cottage are well worth a visit. The retreats of King George III and his wife Queen Charlotte (as featured in Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story), the buildings can be found and visited on the grounds of Kew Gardens.
